The stylish Tata Nexon has been a massive success since day one and is one of the best-ever-selling cars in India. The 5-seater Indian compact SUV wears a sleek appearance and is 3,993 mm long, 1,811 mm wide, and 1,606 mm tall. With a wheelbase of 2,498 mm, the Tata Nexon is amply spacious for 5 occupants and has well-cushioned seats too. The latest generation of Tata Nexon is made available with a 1.2 litre turbo petrol engine and 1.5 litre turbo diesel engine, both mated with either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed AMT. The petrol and diesel engines are capable of delivering ARAI certified mileages of 17.5 kmpl and 21.1 kmpl, respectively. The Tata Nexon is also available in electric-powered models, which come with 30.2 kWh battery pack, and 40.5 kWh battery pack, and offer 312 km range and 437 km, range respectively.The Tata Nexon’s robust construction got it a 5-star G-NCAP safety rating, making it one of the safest cars in India. To maximise safety, most safety features come as standard across all variants of Nexon such as dual airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, brake assist, traction control, disc brake wiping, roll-over mitigation, ESP, hill hold assist, and others. The higher variants also offer TPMS and a rear camera. Some other noteworthy features of Tata Nexon include 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto, digital instrument cluster, voice commands, a cooled glovebox, automatic climate control with rear vents, cruise control and rain-sensing wipers. The top variant also gets ventilated front seats, auto-dimming IRVM, an 8-speaker Harman sound system, and air purifier.The Tata Nexon was launched in 2017 and received a facelift in 2020 in which it received some cosmetic updates and the engines were made BS6 compliant.
