The Maruti Suzuki Swift is a popular hatchback that offers responsive handling, fuel efficient engines, and a sporty design. The Swift has always been positioned as a sporty hatchback with responsive engines while still being practical enough for five people. Now in its third generation, the Maruti Swift is equipped with a 1.2-litre petrol engine paired with a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT automatic gearbox. The latest generation introduced a radical new design with a more angular design to emphasise its sportiness while gaining features like projector headlamps, cruise control, automatic climate control, and automatic headlamps.The 1.2-litre petrol engine delivers up to 22.56 kmpl, while the CNG variants deliver upto 30.90 kmpl. The spacious interiors contained in its 2450 mm wheelbase and the 268 litre boot space make it a great family hatchback. The Swift comes with dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, reverse parking sensors, and ISOFIX child seat mounts as standard safety features while AMT variants also have electronic stability program and hill hold assist as standard.The Maruti Swift was launched in 2005 to offer a more premium, powerful, and spacious car than entry-level Maruti hatchbacks.
