The Ford EcoSport started the trend of compact SUVs in India and is loved enormously for its toughness, reliability, superior comfort. The American compact SUV is 3,998 mm long, 1,765 mm wide, 1,647 mm tall, and with a wheelbase 2,519 mm is a decently spacious 5-seater. All the seats are richly padded forming an immensely comfortable seating that stands out from the rest. The Ford EcoSport is available with a 1.5 litre petrol engine and 1.5 litre diesel engine. Both engines come mated with 5-speed manual gearbox, while the petrol engine also gets the option of 6-speed torque converter automatic. The petrol-powered EcoSport delivers a mileage of 14.7-15.9 kmpl, while the diesel-powered EcoSport gives a mileage of 21.7 kmpl.The Ford EcoSport is solidly built and hence ensures a safe driving experience. The list of safety features includes dual front airbags, ABS with EBD in lower variants while hill climb assist, EBA, ESC, TCS, and up to six airbags are offered in higher variants. The other key features comprises of multitude of 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control, push-button start, electric sunroof, and others.The EcoSport was launched in India in 2013 in both petrol and diesel variants. Both engines were available with 5-speed manual gearbox, while the petrol engine was available with a 6-speed torque converter automatic as well.
