Tata Safari Expert Review

4
With its combination of space and comfort, the Tata Safari is not meant to be sporty. It's not marketed as an off-road vehicle either. What the Tata Safari aims to provide is a good driving experience with a lot of room for both occupants and luggage. The Safari should meet many of the requirements for families looking to purchase a large, stable, safe and easy-to-live-with SUV.

Verdict

This Tata Safari is advertised as being a comfortable, roomy family SUV. Three rows of seating, a solid road presence, and many features inside all contribute to its overall performance. When driven on highways, the vehicle drives very smoothly and stays planted on the road when very fully loaded. In terms of a driving experience, there's enough power in the vehicle's diesel engine to make driving easy, but it doesn’t provide much of a sporty feeling. While the interior looks modern and premium, fit and finish can feel inconsistent in places. Overall, the Safari suits buyers who want a large SUV focused on comfort and practicality rather than aggressive performance.

Who should buy a Tata Safari

If you're looking for a roomy SUV capable of carrying seven people comfortably, driving long distances comfortably, and handling long-distance trips comfortably, you should consider the Tata Safari. Its suspension has been designed for comfort, which is helpful when travelling on rough, winding Indian roads as a family. Higher variants offer features like a panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, and advanced safety tech, adding to its appeal. The Safari works best for buyers who need space, value safety, and prefer a relaxed driving experience over sporty dynamics.
