Engine and Transmission

The Aura offers a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine producing approximately 83 hp and 114 Nm of torque. Although engine performance is adequate, it is engineered for smoothness and economy rather than maximum power output. The engine performs well in an urban environment due to its consistent and predictable performance rather than top speed.

The petrol engine is available with both manual and AMT transmission options. The manual gearbox provides better control, especially for experienced drivers, while the AMT variant offers convenience in traffic-heavy conditions.

The CNG version uses the same engine as petrol, except that it has been optimised for fuel economy. The power output of the CNG engine has also been decreased slightly compared to the petrol engine; however, the emphasis is placed on minimising operational costs when using CNG. Therefore, the CNG version is a viable choice for those customers who drive frequently.

Mileage and Performance

The Aura delivers a mileage of around 17–20 kmpl for the petrol variant under ideal conditions. In real-world usage, this may vary depending on driving style and traffic conditions.

As a result of increased fuel economy, the CNG variant has superior efficiency compared to many competitors, exceeding 25 km per kg of fuel consumed. As a result, this variant provides some of the best value available in the automotive segment.

Performance is adequate for daily use. The car feels smooth in city driving, but it may feel slightly underpowered when fully loaded or during highway overtakes. However, for its intended purpose, the performance is sufficient.

Interior and Comfort

The interior of the Aura has been thoughtfully created to be both comfortable and practical; the seats are supportive and can accommodate daily commutes or long weekend trips.

The cabin layout is simple, with controls placed logically for ease of use. The rear seat offers decent legroom and headroom for two passengers, although three adults may find it slightly tight.

Comfort is decent overall in this class, making the vehicle suitable for everyday use.

Infotainment and Connectivity

The Aura features a touchscreen infotainment system with support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. This allows users to access navigation, music, and calls easily.

Users should have little difficulty using the system for typical driving scenarios, as it has easy operation and fast response times. More premium versions feature additional options such as steering-mounted controls and improved sound quality.

Safety Features

The Aura includes six airbags, ABS, electronic stability control, and hill start assist. These features provide a strong safety foundation for the car.

Additional conveniences and safety features, such as a rear-view camera and rear parking sensors, help with parking.
