Visit the E-Challan Page

Go to the e-Challan section on the Spinny website or app. Enter your vehicle registration number to begin.

Access the Official Site

Go to echallan.parivahan.gov.in and click on ‘Check Challan Status’ under the online services tab.

Visit the Court

If your challan is marked as a court challan, it must be settled at the judicial magistrate's court mentioned in the notice. Carry a valid ID proof like Aadhaar, a driving licence, or Voter ID.

Check your Challan

Click on ‘Check Challan’ to fetch all pending traffic challans linked to your registration number. If you're not logged in, you'll be prompted to verify via an OTP sent to your registered mobile number. Once verified, your challans will be displayed with complete details: offense type, date, and fine amount.

Lookup your Vehicle

Choose to search using your challan number, driving licence number, or vehicle registration number. Complete the CAPTCHA and click ‘Get Details’ to view both pending and cleared challans. An OTP may be sent to your registered mobile number for verification before the challan details are displayed.

Appear on the Given Date

You’ll be given a summon date to appear in court. The judge will review the case, explain the violation, and decide the final payable amount. In some cases, the fine may be negotiable.

Make Payment

By default, all pending challans are automatically selected. You can select or deselect multiple challans as needed, then click on ‘Review Payment’ at the bottom. On the next screen, click ‘Pay Now’, choose your preferred payment method; UPI, Credit/Debit Card, or Net Banking—and complete the transaction securely through our payment gateway.

What is eChallan in Kerala?

Traffic police in Kerala issue an e challan, a digital fine, for traffic violations such as overspeeding, signal jumping, and driving without valid documents. The details of an e-challan in Kerala can be accessed online, including the challan status, violation type, and fine amount. You can easily perform an e challan check by vehicle number using the official Parivahan portal or Spinny’s online challan check tool. This helps you stay updated on any pending traffic challan online.

How It Works

Here’s how the echallan system in Kerala functions when a traffic violation occurs:

  1. Traffic violation (e.g., signal jump, speeding) is captured using CCTV, patrol reports, or speed cameras.

  2. The system fetches your vehicle details using the registration number.

  3. A traffic challan is generated with complete e challan details, including time, location, and nature of offense.

  4. The e-challan is sent digitally to the vehicle owner’s registered mobile number or email.

  5. You can then check challan online in Kerala and complete your online challan payment via secure portals.

If the challan is not paid within 90 days, it may result in a virtual court summons under Kerala traffic regulations.
