Honda Jazz was launched as a premium hatchback in the Indian market in 2009. It enjoyed over a decade long run after finally being discontinued in 2023. It was discontinued due to declining sales and Honda shifting focus to enhancing its SUV segment of cars. Unlike its counterparts, Honda Jazz is spacious and looks bigger despite being a compact hatchback. Catering to the buyers seeking premium cars, Jazz focuses on providing class-leading comfort and safety to the passengers. The 1.2-litre i-VTEC engine is smooth but does not feel all that powerful. It is tuned for smooth and relaxed driving and can be considered as a perfect family car, especially for those living in the cities. Though it is a spacious hatchback, Jazz is often criticised because of its outdated design, low ground clearance, and lack of modern features. Top-quality comfort and ample storage space and options are its strengths.
