Overview

Tata Sierra is one of the most important SUV launches from Tata Motors in the last few years and brings back an iconic nameplate that was famous in the 1990s. The modern-day version of this iconic car is a modern reinterpretation of the Sierra legacy with its sleek, contemporary design and new technology features, as well as being very safe and practical. Presence in the mid-size SUV segment between the Nexon (a traditional sub-compact car) and the Curvv (an SUV) in Tata’s range gives it strong competition against other popular SUVs like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara. The new Sierra blends a rugged SUV stance with a modern design philosophy that draws inspiration from the original model while embracing Tata’s latest design language. It features a distinctive silhouette, large glass surfaces, and a bold front fascia that gives it a strong road presence. The SUV is built to provide a practical yet premium experience for families and urban buyers who want a spacious cabin and modern features without stepping into the larger SUV category. The Sierra provides customers with an interesting mix of nostalgia and up-to-date engineering. It provides all the benefits associated with being a family SUV, while still providing modern technology, as well as Tata's renowned durability in India.

Tata Sierra Expert's Review 4.3

The Tata Sierra is a very well-executed mix of old-school and new-school SUV design. Tata has taken an iconic name in 'Sierra' and transformed it into a contemporary SUV with a focus on practicalities, safety and technology. The new Tata Sierra has plenty of passenger space, several powertrain options and a solid set of safety features that will appeal to families and city-based SUV buyers alike. Although the new Tata Sierra is not going to be the 'sportiest' SUV in the segment, it does have a high comfort level, plus it offers excellent usability for everyday driving situations.
