Both petrol and diesel engines come with 6-speed manual transmissions, while petrol engine also gets CVT automatic and diesel engine also gets 6-speed torque converter automatic. The turbo petrol engine comes with a 7-speed DCT automatic only. The Hyundai Verna is capable of delivering 17.7 – 19.2 kmpl with petrol, and 21.3 – 25.0 kmpl with diesel.The safety equipment of Hyundai Verna consists of up to six airbags, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), front and rear parking sensors, traction control, hill start assist, and ABS with EBD among others.
