The Mahindra XEV 9e is a five-seat electric SUV coupe built on Mahindra’s INGLO platform and designed to combine premium comfort, long-range EV usability, and high safety standards.
The XEV 9e has both 59 and 79 kWh battery configurations, combined with electric motor configurations, to produce maximum ratings of 170 and 210 kW of power, respectively, through rear-wheel drive using only one speed as an automatic transmission, and produces 380 Nm of torque.
The 59 kWh version offers a certified range of 542 km, while the 79 kWh version goes up to 656 km. Mahindra also highlights 500+ km real-world range for the larger battery under metro driving conditions with AC on. Fast charging can take the battery from 20 to 80 percent in about 20 minutes, depending on charger and battery pack.
The cabin features three 31.24cm display screens, tech connectivity, wireless smartphone connections, high-end audio, heated and air-conditioned seats on higher trims, two wireless chargers, power tailgate, ambient LED lighting, and many other digital convenience options.
Safety highlights include a 5-star Bharat NCAP score, up to seven airbags, L2 and L2+ ADAS depending on variant, 360-degree camera, TPMS, blind spot-related assistance, and strong brake and stability hardware.
The XEV 9e measures 4,789 mm in length, 1,907 mm in width, has a 2,775 mm wheelbase, 207 mm unladen ground clearance, a 663-litre boot, and a 150-litre frunk.
Some of the noteworthy features of this vehicle are the triple-screen design, Harman-Kardon sound system with Dolby Atmos support, an augmented-reality head-up display, auto parking system, 5G Internet connectivity, panoramic glass roof, semi-active suspension (on higher trim levels), and a large frunk/boot combined.
