The Mahindra BE 6 is a five-passenger electric SUV that uses Mahindra’s INGLO “Born Electric” platform and combines excellent range, cutting-edge technology, and superior safety features.
The BE 6 is offered with 59 kWh and 79 kWh battery packs. The 59 kWh version makes 228 bhp and 380 Nm, while the 79 kWh version makes 282 bhp and 380 Nm. Both versions are paired with an automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive layout.
Being an electric vehicle (EV), this is about range versus miles; this vehicle has an EPA-rated range of 683 km (426 mi) for the 79 kWh model at test conditions, and Mahindra claims a real-world range of greater than or equal to 500 km (310 mi) for the larger battery. The performance of the car is very good, especially when comparing the two different horsepower versions of the same EV.
The cabin has a modern design, with big screen displays and lots of technology built into everything, plus nice trim materials that are available for the more expensive versions. The passenger experience in the BE 6 is improved by its longer wheelbase, while the seating arrangement makes it very usable as a family vehicle each day.
The BE 6 gets a strong safety package with airbags, ESC, TPMS, braking aids, and ADAS on higher variants. Its 5-star Bharat NCAP score is one of its biggest highlights.
The BE 6 has a length of 4,371 mm, a width of 1,907 mm and a wheelbase of 2,775 mm. The ground clearance is 207 mm, and the boot space is 455 litres, making it a decent amount of space for being able to take away anything on the weekends or for everyday use.
