Honda Brio suits the urban commuters who want an easy-to-handle and practical car. The handling of Brio is smooth and the 1.2-litre i-VTEC engine offers a peppy performance. However, the rear space is not large enough to accommodate 3 passengers comfortably. Its limited bootspace is a concern, especially when planning long trips and journeys. The cabin is surprisingly spacious for this compact car and the interior and seating arrangement are well laid out. The ride quality might get hampered on uneven roads as the suspensions might feel a bit hard in these conditions. Its low ground clearance can create issues while navigating complex roads consisting of potholes and uneven speed breakers. Therefore, it is mostly seen as a car designed for city driving.

Verdict
As we said earlier, Honda Brio is designed for city driving with occasional highway rides. The bootspace is limited and the rear space might feel cramped up, especially when taller passengers are sitting. The refined i-VTEC engine and smooth handling offers a great and relaxed driving experience. The interiors are upgraded with basic or good-to-have features and you cannot expect anything extraordinary in there. The gearbox feels smooth in the manual variants. Overall, it is a great car for nuclear families who hang out in the city and nearby places on weekends. The only areas where it lags are features and bootspace.
Who should buy a Honda Brio
Honda Brio is a great car for first-time car buyers. It won’t feel powerful but the small turning radius and reliable engine do their job pretty well. The car feels planted at high speeds and you won’t feel any significant body rolls when manoeuvring the car through sharp turns and corners. Though it's a compact car, its seats are spacious and comfortable. You won’t feel any discomfort during long trips. The fuel-efficiency is not great but a mileage of up to 17 kmpl can be expected. Manual variants offer better fuel-efficiency than the automatic ones. Driving in eco mode also results in better fuel-efficiency.
