On the outside, the Toyota Corolla Cross looks much like the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder. The similarities include the same dipping nose, slim headlamps, and the sporty bumper, while the difference comes from the honeycomb-patterned grille fading towards the sides. The side profile highlights the 18-inch alloy wheels, slightly sloping roof, squarish wheel housing, and black cladding running across the bottom of the SUV. At the rear, the Corolla Cross gets wraparound tail lamps, raked windscreen, and a chunky dual-tone bumper.

On the inside, too, the Corolla Cross looks much like the Urban Cruiser Hyryder. There is a similar-looking 3-spoke steering wheel, and a free-standing 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, with trapezoidal AC vents below it. The neat dashboard has trapezoidal AC vents on the edges. The black and brown interior gives the cabin a plush atmosphere.
