October 2025 turned out to be a great month for Tata Motors, as the Indian carmaker sold 61,134 units, seeing a 27 percent year-on-year growth. Here is a closer look at the top-selling Tata Cars in October 2025, and an explanation of how the Tata Nexon maintained its position as the best-selling Tata car.
Why is the Tata Nexon the Best-Selling Tata Car in October 2025?

In addition to holding on to its title of the best-selling Tata car, the Tata Nexon became the best-selling car and best-selling compact SUV in India. As far as Tata cars are concerned, the Nexon beat the second-best-selling Tata car, the Tata Punch, by a long distance. The Nexon has always been a desirable compact SUV and one of the best-selling cars, thanks to its appealing balance of features, comfort, and space. A key factor that has possibly surged Nexon’s sales is its price cuts after the recent GST revisions. With up to 1.55 lakh drop in its price, the Nexon has seen the biggest price drop in its segment. In addition to that, Tata offered festive season discounts on the Nexon in September, making the Indian compact SUV even more appealing. Meanwhile, the Nexon’s arch-rival, Maruti Brezza, has seen the least price drop in its segment, because of its larger 1.5-litre petrol engine, which imposes 40 percent GST on it, instead of 18 percent GST, which is imposed on the Nexon and most other compact SUVs.
