Why is the Hyundai Creta the Best-Selling SUV in February 2026?

Not only did the Hyundai Creta become the best-selling SUV, but it was also the fourth-best-selling car in India. For the past few months, the Creta has been maintaining its position among the top five sellers of the industry. This is possibly the effect of the increased prices of the compact SUVs, as top variants of many compact SUVs have slowly reached around Rs. 15 lakh. In this price bracket, the mid variants of the Creta are available, which makes more sense for buyers looking for a large family car. The value card has always been Creta’s greatest strength, and now it is even more dominant, especially compared to top models of some compact SUVs, such as the Tata Nexon and Maruti Suzuki Brezza.
