Sachin Tendulkar Car Collection & Price List – Spinny

Alto 800 Spinny: Sachin’s Road Drive
Last updated 2 weeks ago

Sachin Tendulkar, widely hailed as the “Master Blaster” of Indian cricket, is known for his impeccable technique, record‑breaking feats, and enduring legacy spanning over two decades. Alongside his mastery of the bat, he has long possessed a deep love for automobiles: from humble beginnings to exotic supercars, his car collection is as much a reflection of his journey as his on‑field achievements.

Whether it’s the first car that fulfilled a childhood dream or a rare limited‑edition super‑SUV, each model tells a part of its story: the rise from ambition to legacy and the affinity for performance, luxury, and sentimentality. Below is a curated list of Sachin Tendulkar’s car collection, along with their prices, significance, and specifications.

Sachin Tendulkar Car Collection & Price List

From his very first Maruti 800 to the latest high-performance supercars, Sachin’s garage reflects not only his taste but also his journey from cricketing prodigy to global icon.

Maruti 800

Sachin's Road Drive

Arguably the most sentimental automobile in Sachin’s collection: his first car that he bought with his own earnings after he became a professional cricketer. The modest Maruti 800 was a dream symbol for many Indian households in the 1980s and 90s, and Sachin purchased his early on as he began earning professionally.

The Maruti 800 in India at that time carried a 796 cc petrol engine with a carburettor. It had the distinctive Bayer’s Blue paint, a shade not commonly used any more.

Pricewise, the estimates are around ₹2.25–2.50 lakh (ex‑showroom) for the period when he purchased it. While it’s unclear if he still drives it, its emotional value persists.

BMW i8

Sachin’s Road Drive

The BMW i8 is the flagship plug‑in hybrid sports car from BMW. In India, it was launched in February 2015 with ex‑showroom pricing of around ₹2.29 crore.

Sachin Tendulkar, being BMW India’s brand ambassador and an automobile enthusiast, is one of the prominent Indian owners of the i8. Here are key specs of the BMW i8 (stock form) that give context to why it stands out:

  • Powertrain: 1.5 litre turbocharged 3‑cylinder petrol engine (≈231 bhp, ~321 Nm) + electric motor (≈131 bhp, ~250 Nm) for a combined output of around 362 bhp and 570 Nm of torque in some referencing.
  • 0‑100 km/h: ~4.4 seconds.
  • Top speed: Electronically limited to ~250 km/h.
  • Launch fuel efficiency: ~47.45 km/l (claimed) when using hybrid mode.

Sachin got the car custom‑painted red (from the original white/blue scheme). Furthermore, it was modified by the Indian customs house DC Design.

Modifications included a custom front grille, a redesigned front bumper with larger air dams, a custom rear bumper, quad exhaust tips, and vented bumper panels giving a wider body stance. Such customisation reflects Sachin’s interest not just in ownership but in personalising his vehicles, a collector’s mindset.

BMW 7-Series 760 Li

Sachin’s Road Drive

Sachin’s BMW 760Li is one beast of a machine: it’s mean and clean all at the same time. Sachin’s customized BMW individual 760 Li features Sachin Tendulkar’s ST insignia on headrests, inside steps, dashboard, and gear knob. It is powered by a 6.5 L V12 Twin-turbo engine that generates a monstrous 601 bhp on tap. Another feature of this car is its all-wheel steering function, which makes this premium sedan easily maneuverable in the tightest of turns. Much like our Sachin finding the smallest of gaps and guiding the ball through it to victory.

BMW M6 Gran Coupe

Sachin’s Road Drive

Another standout model is the BMW M6 Gran Coupe, reportedly the first of its kind in India to find its way to Sachin’s garage. The car is noted for its rare exterior paint finish, described as ‘Frozen Silver,’ which is not standard for India, making it a unique specimen.

The M6 Gran Coupe was launched in India at an ex‑showroom price of ₹1.75 crore in April 2014. Here are the tech specs:

  • Engine: 4.4‑litre V8 petrol, twin‑scroll turbocharged.
  • Power output: 560 hp (412 kW) and 680 Nm of torque.
  • 0‑100 km/h: 4.2 seconds claimed.
  • Top speed: Electronically limited to 250 km/h.
  • Transmission: 7‑speed M dual‑clutch gearbox.
  • Key features: Carbon‑fibre roof, sports seats, M‑specific design cues (kidney grille, quad exhausts, diffuser), active M differential, dynamic damping, and high‑end infotainment & driver assistance systems.

Owning India’s first M6 Gran Coupe gives it a milestone status, both prestige‑wise and from a collector’s perspective. The car bridges two worlds: it’s a four‑door grand‑coupe (offering usability) yet delivers supercar-level performance, aligning with the narrative of someone who achieved peak performance in his field and seeks similarly high standards off the field.

BMW M5 30 Jahre

Sachin’s Road Drive

The limited‑edition BMW M5 30 Jahre is among the rarest in Sachin’s collection. Strictly limited to 300 units worldwide, the model is considered a “historic press‑car fleet” by BMW UK, underscoring its collector status.

The “30 Jahre M5” was created by BMW to mark “30 years of the M5” (hence “30 Jahre M5”). The price estimate is around ₹1.85 crore.

Under the bonnet is a 4.4‑litre V8 twin‑turbo engine (BMW M TwinPower Turbo) producing 600 hp (441 kW) and 700 Nm (516 lb‑ft) of torque. Performance: 0‑100 km/h in 3.9 seconds.

Top speed, with the optional M Driver’s Package, is 320 km/h (approximately) in global specs. Chassis/Drive/Extras:

  • Rear‑wheel drive only (not AWD), keeping the classic M5 RWD feel.
  • Includes the “Competition Package” as part of the standard spec: lowered ride height (10 mm), firmer springs/dampers, and recalibrated differential and steering electronics.
  • Special visual touches: “30 Jahre M5” badging (on sill plates and seat backs), unique color “Frozen Dark Silver” (BMW Individual), black chrome surrounds, distinctive wheels, and interior trim.

BMW X5 M50d

Sachin’s Road Drive

The BMW X5 M50d found its way to India only because of the Master Blaster. This variant of the BMW was never sold in India and was imported for the little master. The BMW X5 M50d is a huge muscular SUV complete with leather seats, leather trims on the dash, and the M badging almost everywhere. A triple turbocharged six-cylinder inline engine sits under this beast’s hood producing 400 PS of power and 760 Nm of torque.

Porsche 911 Turbo S

Sachin’s Road Drive

The Porsche 911 Turbo S is often cited as the “crown jewel” in Sachin’s garage, melding timeless design with blistering performance. Finished in a black paint scheme with grey alloy wheels, it costs around ₹3.35 crore in India.

  • Engine: 3.8‑litre twin‑turbo flat‑six (for the 992‑gen) producing approx. 650 hp and 800 Nm of torque.
  • 0‑100 km/h: around 2.7 seconds for the 992‑generation model.
  • Top speed: up to ~330 km/h (for the standard Turbo S in India).
  • Features: Wide body, active aerodynamics, large brakes (ceramic composite), advanced chassis tech.
  • Interior: Premium build with sports seats (18‑way adjustable in some markets), Bose or similar high‑end audio, sports steering wheel, and high‑resolution infotainment.

Ferrari 360 Modena

Sachin’s Road Drive

Sachin was also a proud owner of the Ferrari 360 Modena that was gifted by the Fiat fraternity for his record breaking performance after he went past Sir Don Bradman’s record of 29 Test Hundreds. The car was all the more special as it was handed to him by the F1 legend Michael Schumacher.

Volvo S80

Sachin’s Road Drive

Sachin was awarded the keys to the Volvo S80 as recognition for his historic achievement: becoming the first batsman in the world to score a double century (200 runs) in a One Day International (ODI). The specific model he received was the twin‑turbo diesel version (the “D5 Twin‑Turbo” with a five‑cylinder engine) of the S80.

The twin‑turbo diesel unit installed in that version was a 2.4 litre five‑cylinder D5 engine producing 205 bhp and 420 Nm of torque. For the 2014 facelift model (still an S80), Volvo India priced the D4 variant at Rs 41.35 lakh ex‑showroom (Delhi) and the D5 at Rs 44.80 lakh.

So rather than being a purchase, this car in Sachin’s garage has symbolic significance; it was a reward for performance rather than a regular acquisition. It fits well with the narrative of him gravitating toward luxury executive sedans that combine performance and comfort rather than purely exotic or supercars.

For a brand like Volvo, known for safety and understated luxury, the car bridges the gap between sporting achievement and refined taste.

Range Rover SV

In late December 2024 / early January 2025, Sachin Tendulkar was widely reported to have added a Range Rover SV to his garage, valued at roughly ₹4.5–5.0 crore. While full specifications or pricing details are less documented, this addition further expands his range into high‑end luxury SUVs.

    Others

Beyond the headline models above, Sachin’s collection reportedly includes other vehicles such as the Audi Q7 (~₹68.79 lakh), various BMW 5‑series and 3‑series GT models, and SUVs like the Porsche Cayenne (~₹1.92 crore).

      Conclusion

Sachin Tendulkar’s car collection offers a fascinating mirror to his life’s journey: from the humble Maruti 800 (symbol of early dreams) to super‑luxury and high‑performance machines like the Lamborghini Urus S and Porsche 911 Turbo S. It’s a story of progression: passion for the game translated into passion for cars, personal values reflected through vehicles, and sentimental pieces standing alongside exotic acquisitions.

What stands out in his garage is not merely the price tag or badge, but the blend of emotion, exclusivity, and evolution. The first car (Maruti 800) shows its roots; the limited‑editions (BMW M5 30 Jahre, Fiat Palio S10) reflect his collector’s mindset; the high‑performance and luxury SUVs indicate his status and preference for both power and comfort.
