Maruti India offered a partial glimpse of the upcoming 2022 Baleno Facelift with a new teaser video on its official website.
Slated for its official launch on February 24, the newest avatar of this popular hatchback is available for pre-booking at an amount of Rs 15,000. The vehicle will come with sleek, revamped DRL headlamps, a redesigned front grille and cosmetic changes to the rear as well. The teaser also indicated the presence of a segment-first heads-up display. The new Baleno will come with a revamped cabin and interiors as well.
The new Baleno is expected to continue with the same 1.2 liter, four-cylinder petrol engine that churns 90 Ps of max power and 113 Nm of peak torque. The powertrain will most likely be combined with a 5-speed manual transmission or a 5-speed AMT.
The Maruti Baleno sat firmly among segment leaders ever since its 2015 launch in India, but has lately struggled to find traction among buyers. In January 2022, the manufacturer sold 6,791 Baleno units, down nearly 60 percent from the same period last year.
