Lately, the upcoming Mahindra XUV300 facelift has been one of the talks of the town and its test mule has been spied on several times. Now, Mahindra has officially released its teaser which gives a glimpse of the new design. What has come as a surprise though is that the new XUV300 is named XUV 3XO. This will be the first facelift of the Indian compact SUV since its launch in 2019 and because its fresher rivals have been impacting its popularity for a while, with this facelift Mahindra aims to regain its dominance in the compact SUV segment. Here is a closer look at what the new Mahindra XUV 3XO is expected to bring.
Mahindra XUV 3XO: Design
While the teaser does not give away too much, it reveals that the XUV 3XO gets a major design overhaul and the new design is largely inspired by Mahindra’s Born-Electric line-up of SUVs. The front fascia of the XUV 3XO sports a chrome-finished triangular motif on the new two-part grille, a sharper nose, stylish fang-shaped LED daytime running lamps, redesigned front bumper and headlights setup. Moreover, the central air intake on the bumper is larger than the one on the current model.
The XUV 3XO sits on a new set of alloy wheels that are finished in dark chrome. At the rear, the XUV 3XO features a completely redesigned tailgate housing a new “XUV 3XO” moniker with Mahindra’s “Twin Peaks” logo atop. Furthermore, there is a full-width LED light bar linking the new and sleeker C-shaped tail lamps.

Meanwhile, the spy shots have already hinted at a new dashboard layout and a new panel for HVAC controls. In terms of features, the XUV 3XO is likely to carry the current feature list and add some modern-day features such as a wireless phone charger and ventilated front seats. Mahindra could also equip it with a segment-first panoramic sunroof. The safety features are likely to consist of six airbags, an electronic parking brake, a 360-degree camera, and a few advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) as well.
