Engine and Transmission

In India, the BMW 2 Series is available with both a diesel and a petrol engine; both have a very similar 2.0L engine, which performs extremely well on the road. The 2.0L petrol has an output of 176 bhp and 280 Nm of torque, giving the petrol an incredibly smooth driving experience and excellent acceleration when travelling through town.

The diesel engine, on the other hand, produces around 190 bhp and 400 Nm of torque. Both engines have a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission that provides quick and consistent shifting.
