Overview

As one of the most daring electric SUVs available in India today, Mahindra's BE 6 is redefining what an electric SUV can offer. Originally named the BE 6e when it was released, this model is now known as the BE 6 and represents the first entry into Mahindra's future lineup of born electric SUVs based on the INGLO platform. In terms of styling, performance, technology, and safety, the BE 6 offers customers an attractive option that can also serve as a practical vehicle for daily use. The BE 6 has been designed to stand out. Its sharp nose, full-width lighting elements, flush surfaces, and sloping roofline give it a concept-car feel that has carried over quite well into production. In terms of positioning, it is not aimed at traditional compact SUVs. Instead, it targets buyers who want an electric SUV that feels more premium, more futuristic, and more performance-focused than the usual mass-market options. The Mahindra BE 6 gives potential purchasers of a new electric vehicle (EV) who do not want to purchase an unexciting or basic option a positive initial feeling of the car. The combination of visual appeal, long-range capability, excellent safety ratings and a premium list of features makes the Mahindra BE 6 feel unique within the Indian market.

Mahindra BE 6 Expert's Review 4.3

Mahindra's BE 6 is a bold move for Mahindra that feels like a purpose-built EV and not just an upgraded ICE SUV. The BE 6 was designed from scratch to be an EV; therefore, its design, layout, and packaging clearly represent this intention to create a state-of-the-art product. The BE 6 is fresh looking, thought-provokingly fashionable, and exceptionally balanced when it comes to handling and performance. What works especially well is that the BE 6 is not just trying to sell itself on futuristic styling. It backs up the design with strong range figures, quick charging, solid performance, and excellent safety credentials. That gives it more substance than many style-led cars.

"Aside from the looks, I was also interested in an electric vehicle that was safe and modern. The Bharat NCAP rating and the number and quality of features were more than satisfactory on this vehicle. "

~ Sneha Menon

"The BE 6 has a very modern and futuristic feel to it and is very well-equipped. One downside is that the higher-end variants are somewhat pricey. "

~ Meenal Shah

"I do not believe the BE 6 to be an experimental EV; I consider it to be well-made, very sturdy, and able to provide normalcy to family's everyday use. "

~ Arjun Nair

" The BE 6 turns heads no matter where you go. It attracted me immediately by the way it looks, but also because it has a practical and sizeable cabin plus ample range on one charge. "
