Most of these cases include family disputes, land-related disputes, marriage disputes, and traffic violation challans. When it comes to traffic challans, the Lok Adalat accepts only compoundable offences i.e. the offences that can be settled by paying a fine or penalty. In this article, we will talk about how to settle a traffic challan in Mumbai by attending a Lok Adalat.

Most of these cases are referred to the Lok Adalat directly when the challan remains unsettled for a long time. However, you can also approach the court directly via walk-in or by registering for it on a scheduled date and time.
