The all-new Tata Sierra has been showcased at the ongoing Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. This is the near-production ICE avatar of Sierra and it is also expected to be launched in the EV version soon. The new Tata Sierra is inspired by the classic Tata Sierra that was sold in the 1990s and was one of the most revered cars in the history of Tata Motors. For the modern Tata Sierra, the Indian carmaker followed its latest design philosophy, while retaining its traditional aesthetics, to keep it reminiscent of the first-ever Tata Sierra. Here is what the new Tata Sierra ICE is all about.
Tata Sierra: Design

While following Tata’s current design language, the Tata Sierra retains its evergreen charm, thanks to the similar-looking silhouette that shaped the old Tata Sierra. The front profile highlights a full-width LED strip flanked by LED DRLs, whereas the headlamps have been integrated into the bumper. The main highlight of the side profile is the large alpine windows as seen on the old Tata Sierra, although in split form. There are also flush-type door handles, diamond-cut alloy wheels, and plenty of body cladding to give it a rugged character. At the back, the Tata Sierra gets a slim pair of full-width LED tail lamps and a gloss black rear bumper with a silver skid plate.

Tata Sierra: Interior and Features
The cabin of the Tata Sierra looks significantly more modern than that of the current Tata cars. A key draw is a single panel with three large screens integrated into it, spanned across the width of the entire dashboard with sleek AC vents below. These screens will be for a digital instrument cluster, a main infotainment system, and a passenger-side infotainment system; all are expected to be 12.3-inch units. There are yellow accents to give the dashboard a contrast and a familiar four-spoke steering wheel with the illuminated logo. In terms of features, the Tata Sierra is expected to offer dual-zone climate control, a wireless phone charger, a JBL sound system, powered front seats with ventilation, ambient lighting, a panoramic sunroof, and more.
For passenger safety, the Tata Sierra should feature up to 7 airbags, ABS with EBD, front and rear parking sensors, 360-degree camera, electronic stability control, ISOFIX child-seat mounts, and Level-2 ADAS safety suite.
Tata Sierra: Engine and Transmission
The Tata Sierra is based on Tata’s ATLAS architecture and is expected to offer two engine options: a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine, which can make 170 hp and 280 Nm, and a 2-litre turbo diesel engine, which it will share with Tata Harrier and Tata Safari. The transmission options will include both manual and automatic transmissions.
Tata Sierra: Expected Launch
Tata Motors is expected to launch the Tata Sierra EV first, while the ICE Tata Sierra shall be launched in the second half of the year.
