JSW MG Motor India has launched the MG Hector Tomahawk EV at a starting price of Rs 19.49 lakh (ex-showroom). Like some other MG electric cars, the Hector Tomahawk electric SUV is also available with a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) programme, and its BaaS price starts at Rs 13.99 lakh. Available in 5-seater and 7-seater configurations, the Hector Tomahawk EV is the first MG model in India to be built on MG’s ADAPT architecture. The MG Hector Tomahawk EV is also available under that Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) programme. Its BaaS prices start at Rs. 13.99 lakh with a battery subscription charge of Rs. 4.90/km. MG has not revealed the variant-wise BaaS prices.
With these prices, the MG Hector Tomahawk EV will compete with Mahindra XEV 9S (7-seater), Kia Carens Clavis EV (7-seater), Tata Harrier EV (5-seater), and Mahindra XEV 9e (5-seater).
2026 MG Hector Tomahawk EV: Battery and Range
The MG Hector Tomahawk EV is powered by a 69.2 kWh battery and a front-axle-mounted electric motor, producing 204 PS and 310 Nm of torque. MG claims that the Hector Tomahawk EV has a 517 km MIDC range and completes a 0-100 km/hr dash in 8.2 seconds.
The MG Hector Tomahawk EV is compatible with DC fast charging up to 90 kW, and, as per MG’s claims, a 90 kW DC fast charger can charge it from 30 to 80 per cent in 35 minutes. Moreover, a 7.4 kW AC charger can top up the electric SUV from 0 to 100 per cent in 12.5 hr.
The MG Hector Tomahawk EV also supports vehicle-to-load (V2L) and vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) functions. MG states that V2L can power compatible external devices and appliances. Meanwhile, V2V allows the electric SUV to charge another electric vehicle.
2026 MG Hector Tomahawk EV: Dimensions and Design
The MG Hector Tomahawk EV is 4,745 mm long, 1,850 mm wide, 1,770 mm tall, has a 2,810 mm wheelbase, and offers 230 mm of ground clearance. With all three rows up, the Hector Tomahawk EV 7-seater offers 192 litres of boot space; however, with the third row folded, it expands to 528 litres. In 5-seater models, there is 610 litres of boot space, which expands to 1,053 litres with the second row folded down.
While its name has ‘Hector’ in it, the Hector Tomahawk looks completely different from the MG Hector. Up front, the electric SUV has a clean, modern-looking face with edgy elements like the large rectangular LED projector headlamps with LED DRLs, a closed-off piano-black grille with a textured, shiny pattern and an illuminated MG logo, and a blacked-out bumper with a chromed netted motif. Over to the side, the Hector Tomahawk rides on 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, roof rails, and black cladding covering the electric SUV’s bottom. At the rear, it features LED wraparound tail lamps, a prominent roof spoiler, and a dual-tone layered bumper with a silver skid plate.
The MG Hector Tomahawk EV will be available in 8 exterior colour options: Khaki Green, Aurora Silver, Starry Black, Celdon Blue, Pearl White, Shadow Gold, Khaki Green with black roof, and Shadow Gold with black roof.
2026 MG Hector Tomahawk EV: Interior and Features
Inside, the MG Hector Tomahawk has a minimalist interior layout with a premium dual-tone brown-and-black colour theme. A massive 15.6-inch touchscreen is placed on a clean dashboard finished with soft-touch material. Since most controls are integrated into the touchscreen and the gear lever is mounted on the steering column, the centre console offers plenty of storage space in the cupholders and beneath the armrest. The two-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel has a few physical controls.
In terms of features, the Hector Tomahawk packs 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, panoramic sunroof, 10-speaker Infinity sound system, 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster, powered and ventilated front seats with a memory and auto-retract functionality for the driver’s seat, automatic climate control, powered tail gate, head-up display, 256-colour ambient lighting, connected car tech, rear window sunshades, and more. The electric SUV also gets several cabin modes: Nap, Camp, Energise, Pro Pet, Valet and Quiet.
For safety equipment, the Hector Tomahawk EV gets 6 airbags, electronic stability control, tyre pressure monitoring system, electronic parking brake with auto hold, 360-degree camera with transparent chassis and wheel-view functions, front and rear parking sensors, rain-sensing wipers, hill hold assist, and a Level-2 ADAS safety suite
