We’re back with your friendly fortnightly digest on all things cars. In our second edition, we bring you the latest in car launches, along with a couple of interesting guides that could be useful to you, or your friends.

Honda made a grand re-entry into the mid-size SUV segment this month, creating quite a buzz. And with Maruti’s most awaited car of the year finally here, some of you might be wondering if it’s all that we hoped it would be. Well, our latest car launch articles are here to give you all the details you need.

While launches steal the spotlight, we also thought you might be interested in exploring cars under Rs 15 lakh, and discovering some cars that come in the latest favourite colour of Indian buyers.

Let’s dive right in!

Elevate: Honda’s Mid-Size SUV Sensation Unleashed

The Honda Elevate was globally unveiled in New Delhi on June 6th marking Honda’s triumphant return to the SUV space. With its tall and upright stance, almost reminiscent of a butch American SUV, the Elevate exudes class without unnecessary flamboyance. Its standout feature is the segment-leading ground clearance of 220 mm, surpassing even its biggest contender, the Creta. The Elevate’s 458 litres of boot space further gives it an edge. With its impressive 1.5-litre DOHC i-VTEC engine, spacious interiors and ADAS on offer, what’s left to determine the success of this latest entrant into the mid-size SUV segment is Honda getting the pricing right! Notably, India will serve as the manufacturing hub for the Elevate, and the SUV will be exported to international markets from here.

Maruti Jimny: 2023s Most Awaited 4×4 SUV Sets Foot in India

The wait is over for all adventure enthusiasts! The Maruti Jimny finally made its debut on June 7th, at an attractive starting price of Rs 12.74 lakh, and is all set to conquer the Indian market with its untamed spirit and off-road prowess. The 4×4 SUV will be seen in a five-door avatar for the first time in India, from where it’ll be manufactured and exported to other markets. The price reveal has confirmed its competition with the legendary Mahindra Thar, followed by another formidable contender in the form of the Force Gurkha. Being the smallest SUV among the three, the Jimny excels at maneuvering through tight and congested lanes in the city, as well as narrow rugged paths off the beaten track. Our complete article brings you more on the Jimny’s specifications, styling and features.

Cars Under 15 Lakh

The launch of the Honda Elevate and the Maruti Jimny puts the spotlight back on cars under Rs 15 lakh. Though Honda is yet to reveal the price of its SUV, it’s speculated that the base variants of the Elevate will be priced from Rs 12 lakh. In India’s rapidly expanding and evolving automotive market, the choices seem endless, and while this is a great thing, choosing the car that’s best for you can be a tad overwhelming. Well, if you’re looking to own a great car within a budget of Rs 15 lakh, we’ve compiled a list to help narrow down your choices. You can easily get your hands on a hatchback, sedan or SUV equipped with all the bells and whistles, without breaking the bank. Whether you crave an aesthetically pleasing and adventure-ready beast like the Tata Nexon or a fuel-efficient car from Maruti, our curated selection has something for everyone, from enthusiasts to practical buyers.
