The esteemed Czech automaker has launched the second-generation Skoda Kodiaq in India at the starting price of Rs 46.89 lakh (ex-showroom). The Skoda Kodiaq is a 7-seater SUV and Skoda’s flagship car in India. Compared to the outgoing model, the new Skoda Kodiaq looks slightly different, brings fresh interiors, packs a lot more features, and is slightly more powerful. Here is everything you need to know about the new Skoda Kodiaq.
2025 Skoda Kodiaq: Design

The new Skoda Kodiaq is curvier than the previous model. At the front, while the new Kodiaq carries forward the split headlamp assembly, it features all-new LED DRLs that extend into the Skoda’s traditional radiator grille with vertical chromed strips. As before, the bonnet is rather clean, and there are nice power bulges on it. Lower down is the chunky bumper with a beehive pattern and functional air ducts on the sides. The side profile highlights the new aero-optimised 18-inch alloy wheels and a contrasting colour for the D-pillar. At the rear, the new Skoda Kodiaq gets new C-shaped tail lamps connected by a light bar.
2025 Skoda Kodiaq: Interior & Features

Unlike the exterior, which is largely the same as before, the new Skoda Kodiaq gets a completely new interior in the cabin. The dashboard is characterised by a winged design with a thick ridge on the leatherette padding on the front passenger side. Taking centre stage is the new 13-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system, beside which sits a new 10-inch digital driver’s display with a navigation feed. There is also a new two-spoke steering wheel with ‘Skoda’ lettering and three physical rotary dials for HVAC controls. Moreover, the second-row seats can be slid forward and backwards, and they also have the recline function.
In terms of features, the new Skoda Kodiaq offers configurable ambient lighting, a panoramic sunroof, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 13-speaker Canton sound system, three-zone climate control, powered front seats with memory function, heated & ventilated front seats with a massage function, an electric tailgate with gesture control, a 360-degree camera, park assist, and more. As far as safety equipment is concerned, the new Skoda Kodiaq features 9 airbags, ESC, front and rear parking sensors, electronic differential lock, multi-collision brake, driver attention and drowsiness monitor, hill start assist, hill descent control, and more.
2025 Skoda Kodiaq: Engine & Transmission
While the new Skoda Kodiaq is equipped with the same 2-litre turbo petrol engine as before, this engine now produces 14 PS more power as the gross power output is 207 PS. Meanwhile, the torque output remains the same at 320 Nm. For the transmission, the Skoda Kodiaq offers a sole 7-speed dual-clutch automatic, which transmits power to all four wheels with an all-wheel drive system. Moreover, Skoda claims a fuel efficiency of 14.86 km/l for the new Skoda Kodiaq.
2025 Skoda Kodiaq: Price & Rivals
The new Skoda Kodiaq is priced at Rs 46.89 lakh (ex-showroom) for the Sportline variant and Rs 48.69 lakh (ex-showroom) for the Laurin & Klement (L&K) variant. Being a 7-seater SUV, the Skoda Kodiaq rivals the Jeep Meridian and Nissan X-Trail. All the same, for its price tag, the new Skoda Kodiaq will also rival the premium 5-seater SUVs like the newly launched Volkswagen Tiguan R Line, Citroen C5 Aircross, and Hyundai Tucson.Source:Autocar India
