The Mahindra XUV500 is the predecessor of Mahindra XUV700 and one of the most successful cars in India. The engine options of Mahindra XUV500 include a 2.2 litre diesel engine and 2.2 litre petrol engine, both with an ARAI certified mileage of 16 kmpl. Both engines come coupled with a 6-speed torque converter automatic, However, only the diesel engine has an optional 6-speed manual and an AWD.The Mahindra XUV500 takes care of passenger safety with a formidable endoskeleton and a slew of safety features like up to six airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP with rollover mitigation, hill hold and hill descent control among others.
