The Hyundai Xcent, a compact sedan, offers a roomy passenger compartment, ample trunk space, and an impressive list of functional features. The gallery depicts the final facelifted version of the India-spec Hyundai Xcent that was sold through authorised dealership networks prior to the introduction of the Aura model. It includes images showing the front, side, and rear exterior profile, dashboard, front seating, rear seating, trunk space, and colour options available.

The final passenger range included E, S, SX and SX(O) variants with 1.2-litre petrol and diesel engines. After the Aura arrived, the Xcent continued separately as the fleet-focused Xcent Prime. Used Hyundai Xcent cars can also be explored on Spinny. Its compact dimensions also make it easier to park and manoeuvre than larger sedans while retaining a separate luggage compartment.

Hyundai Xcent Exterior Images

The new-generation Hyundai Xcent carries on the traditional compact-sedan shape, which features a three-box layout and a compact back end, swept-back headlamps and a cascading-style grille. Due to its length being kept under four metres, the new Xcent is very easy to navigate and manage on city streets.

It measures 3,995 mm long, 1,660 mm wide and 1,520 mm tall, with a 2,425 mm wheelbase. Depending on the variant, it came with 14-inch steel wheels, 14-inch alloys or 15-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels on the top SX(O).

Front Profile

The Xcent features a large front grille made of chrome that spans the width of the vehicle, with a centrally placed Hyundai logo. The Xcent’s front end features swept-back headlights that reach to the fenders, and a sculpted bumper and low air intake provide an even wider look for the compact sedan.

S and higher variants add LED daytime running lights and front fog lamps.

Side Profile

From the side view, the Xcent is very short in overall length with an extremely defined trunk area. The size and shape of the Xcent are well supported by its 2,425 mm wheelbase, providing ample passenger space, especially in relation to its small overall size.

The E uses 14-inch steel wheels, S gets full wheel covers, SX moves to 14-inch alloy wheels and SX(O) receives 15-inch diamond-cut alloys with 175/60 R15 tyres. Higher variants also add body-coloured mirrors, integrated turn indicators and electrically folding ORVMs.

Rear Profile

The rear of the Xcent has wraparound tail lights that are positioned to the extreme outer sides of the trunk area. A chrome strip spanning the length of the trunk area gives the rear of the Xcent a more polished and finished appearance, and it features a small trunk lid, keeping the overall length of the car under 4 metres.

Higher variants add a boot-lid spoiler, rear defogger and parking camera, while parking sensors are available from the S.

Overall, the Xcent exterior combines simple sedan proportions with enough chrome and lighting detail to give the higher trims a more premium appearance.

The car’s interior has an excellent dual-tone beige and black colour scheme, is easy to use, has blue backlighting and is well-structured. The Xcent’s design makes it more open and spacious due to the use of light colored upholstery and large windows.

Equipment improves noticeably as you move up the range. Higher variants add touchscreen infotainment, automatic climate control, wireless charging, push-button start and a leather-wrapped steering wheel.

Key Highlights

  • Up to a 7-inch touchscreen with smartphone connectivity
  • Rear AC vents from S upwards
  • Automatic climate control on SX(O)
  • Wireless phone charger on SX and SX(O)

Dashboard & Front Seats

The Xcent dashboard provides an intuitive horizontal design. The information or entertainment system is positioned between two circular-shaped air vents. Both the SX and SX(O) models come with a 7-inch touchscreen display with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, MirrorLink and a smartphone navigation system. The S model has a simpler audio system depending on transmission type.

Higher variants add steering-mounted audio and Bluetooth controls, tilt steering and a height-adjustable driver’s seat. The SX(O) further adds automatic climate control, push-button start, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and smart-key access.

Second Row

The Hyundai Xcent can carry five passengers. It has a three-person rear seat capacity and a wheelbase of 2,425 mm, which gives the Xcent plenty of room for knee space for its size. In addition, the beige upholstery and large windows create a more spacious atmosphere for passengers in the rear of the vehicle.

Rear AC vents are available from the S variant onwards, which is a useful feature for Indian conditions. S and higher trims also get a rear centre armrest with a cup holder, rear power windows and a rear power outlet.

Boot Space

In addition to this, the Hyundai Xcent has a large 407 litres of boot space, which makes the boot very practical for a compact car under 4m long. It can carry a small suitcase, shopping bags, and luggage for a weekend trip.

A luggage lamp is available on higher variants, while the broad boot lid makes access straightforward. The Xcent does not focus on complex folding-seat arrangements, but the generous fixed boot is one of its main advantages over a similarly sized hatchback.

Overall, the cabin areas are designed to provide comfort for passengers, practical storage and features that are useful for everyday life rather than flashiness.

Hyundai Xcent Colour Options

The final facelifted Hyundai Xcent was offered in five exterior colours. The palette included three neutral shades along with brighter red and blue choices, giving buyers a reasonable mix of understated and more colourful finishes.

Marina BlueMetallicFinal passenger range

The Xcent features Polar White and Typhoon Silver as classic white and silver sedan colours, while Star Dust is a dark grey shade that complements the chrome grille and boot garnish.

Fiery Red is the brightest option, while Marina Blue gives the compact sedan a more distinctive appearance without looking overly bold.

Summary

Hyundai has designed the Xcent as a compact car with useful sedan boot space and comfortable five-passenger seating. The chrome grille and swept-back headlamps give the car a sleek and upscale design, while the LED daytime running lights (DRLs) and 15-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels on some variants add an upscale touch without being overly fussy.

Inside, the Xcent offers rear AC vents, a 407-litre boot and a practical dual-tone cabin. Higher SX and SX(O) variants add a 7-inch touchscreen, wireless charging and extra comfort features, while both petrol and diesel engine choices broaden the used-car selection. For used-car buyers, the Xcent remains a practical compact sedan.
