Honda Brio is a small hatchback known for its small footprint, with a lively petrol engine and a large cabin. This complete image gallery of the last facelift of the Honda Brio sold in India before it was discontinued in 2019 includes images of all exterior profiles (front, side, and rear), interior dashboards, front seats, second-row seating, and boot space, as well as images of all available colours.

The final facelifted range included E, S, VX and VX AT variants. All versions used Honda’s 1.2-litre i-VTEC petrol engine, with a 5-speed manual on E, S and VX and a 5-speed automatic on the VX AT. Since the Brio is no longer sold new, buyers can now explore used Honda Brio cars on Spinny.

Honda Brio Exterior Images

Although the new Honda Brio retains the compact form of its predecessor, it features a more dramatic front bumper, a new gloss-black grille, and new rear accents. The short length from the bonnet to the rear hatch is there to maximise the interior space of the vehicle in comparison to its overall compact size.

The Brio measures 3,610 mm long, 1,680 mm wide and 1,500 mm tall, with a 2,345 mm wheelbase and around 165 mm of ground clearance. Lower variants use 14-inch steel wheels, while the VX and VX AT get 14-inch alloy wheels with 175/65 R14 tyres.

Front Profile

The front of the Honda Brio has a large gloss black grille, which connects the headlamps and a very fine chrome strip across the area gives more contrast. The facelift also added a new bumper sculpture, with larger black elements around both lower bulb openings, giving the car a wider look than previously, in the hatchback styling.

The headlamps remain conventional halogen units. Front fog lamps are reserved for the VX and VX AT, while the short bonnet and large windscreen make the car easy to place on narrow city roads.

Side Profile

The side view of the Brio has distinctly unusual proportions in that it has a very short bonnet and very tall passenger cabin, pushing most of the length to the cabin length, along with the 2,345mm wheelbase, providing reasonable interior space, even though the total vehicle length is just 3,610mm.

The E uses steel wheels with centre hub caps, the S adds full wheel covers, and the VX versions get 14-inch alloy wheels. Body-coloured mirrors and door handles appear from S upwards, while VX adds power-folding ORVMs with integrated indicators.

Rear Profile

The rear is one of the most recognisable design elements of the Brio. The large glass hatchback dominates the upper half, with compact tail lamp units low down on either side of it. The facelifted version has an updated tail lamp design, but does not detract from the distinctive features of the upper half of the hatchback design.

VX variants also get a tailgate spoiler with an integrated LED high-mounted stop lamp. The short rear overhang keeps the Brio easy to manoeuvre, although the compact body limits luggage capacity.

Overall, the Brio exterior is shaped around city-friendly dimensions, visibility and efficient packaging.

Honda Brio Interior Images

Inside the cabin, the redesign includes a much-improved contemporary dashboard when compared with the previous version of the Brio. The dashboard has a carbon fibre-finished trim and silver accents. The centre console is laid out very similarly to the previous versions but in a more traditional way. Lower variants offer a beige interior theme, while the VX and VX AT have a more sporty black cabin theme.

The cabin is designed for five occupants and makes good use of the tall roof and wide glass area. Higher variants add Bluetooth audio, steering-mounted controls, electric mirrors and digital AC controls.

Key Highlights

  • Redesigned dashboard with carbon-finish trim
  • 2-DIN audio system with Bluetooth on S and VX
  • Digital AC controls with Max Cool function
  • Driver-seat height adjustment from S upwards

Dashboard & Front Seats

The dashboard also has a three-dial instrumentation cluster that lights up in white. The centre console also has silver detailing around it and the instrumentation cluster. The S and VX variants also come with a 2-DIN audio unit, allowing the user to connect via USB, AUX, and Bluetooth. Additionally, it has a feature that allows for hands-free telephone usage and can control the volume from the steering wheel.

A height-adjustable driver’s seat is available from S, while tilt steering is standard. The VX adds piano-black centre trim, silver inner door handles and a black interior theme, giving the top model a noticeably different cabin appearance.

Second Row

The Honda Brio is a compact car with seating for five adults. The rear seat is a three-person bench. The short overall length of 2,345 mm coupled with a tall roof allows for great headroom and sufficient knee room for rear-seat passengers; this is remarkable for such a small car. Additionally, because of the large side windows on both sides, the rear of the car feels very open.

There are no dedicated rear AC vents, rear charging ports or sliding seat functions. The rear seatback can be folded completely when additional luggage space is needed.

Boot Space

The Honda Brio provides 175 litres of boot space when the rear seat is folded down. The most appropriate use of this area would be for carrying grocery bags, backpacks, or two small travel cases; however, the space does not allow for large luggage.

The rear seatback can be folded to create more cargo room when passenger capacity is not required. The glass tailgate provides a distinctive opening, although the high loading lip means heavier bags need to be lifted into the compartment.

Overall, the Brio interior prioritises passenger room over outright boot capacity, which suits its primarily urban character.

Honda Brio Colour Options

In India, the facelift Honda Brio was offered in four different colours on the outside. The colour choices were pretty basic, with red being the brightest, silver, grey and white being the more subtle colours.

Alabaster SilverMetallicFinal facelift range
Modern Steel MetallicMetallicFinal facelift range
White Orchid PearlPearlFinal facelift range

Rallye Red offers the Honda Brio a sportier look, whereas the Alabaster Silver accentuates its compact proportions. The Modern Steel Metallic paint achieves a bold appearance on the Brio and provides an attractive contrast with its gloss-black grille.

White Orchid Pearl gives the hatchback a cleaner finish and makes the black glass tailgate particularly noticeable. Since the Brio is now bought used, actual colour availability depends on model year and inventory.

Summary

Despite its compact size, the Honda Brio’s interior has enough room for passenger comfort and for luggage space. It features many exterior characteristics, including a blackened grille, small hood, 14-inch alloy wheels, and a distinctive back window, making it easy to identify as a Honda. The latest model features a more defined front, a more up-to-date interior, and overall a sportier look.

Inside, the Brio offers seating for five, a foldable rear seat and simple controls, with higher variants adding Bluetooth audio, steering-mounted controls, power-folding mirrors and dual airbags. Its 175-litre boot is modest, but the responsive 1.2-litre petrol engine and compact size still make it relevant as a used city car.
