The Vietnamese EV brand, VinFast, has launched the VinFast VF7 electric SUV in India at the starting price of Rs 20.89 lakh (ex-showroom). The VinFast VF7 is placed above the VinFast VF6 in the brand’s Indian portfolio and serves as its flagship model. Here is everything you need to know about the VinFast VF7.
VinFast VF7: Dimensions and Design
The VinFast VF7 is 4,545 mm long, 1,890 mm wide, 1636 mm tall, and has a wheelbase of 2,840 mm and a ground clearance of 190 mm.
As far as design is concerned, the VinFast VF7 looks sleek with an aerodynamic face and muscular elements all around. The electric SUV features VinFast’s signature ‘V Face’, with eyebrow-shaped LED DRLs on either side of the VinFast logo, ‘V.’ Lower down, the LED headlamps are integrated on the bumper, while the divided air dam features brushed metal trims. The side profile highlights 19-inch alloy wheels, flush door handles, and thick cladding covering the bottom of the SUV. At the rear, the VF7 features a steeply raked small windscreen, connected LED Tail lamps that are vertically oriented, while the indicators are placed horizontally.
VinFast VF7: Interior and Features

On the inside, the VinFast VF7 features a dual-tone interior that feels commendably upmarket, especially with all the main touchpoints finished in vegan leather. The cabin is quite minimalist, with most functions integrated into the large 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The dashboard design is nearly identical to that of the VF6, with the driver-oriented touchscreen. Like the VF6, the VF7 features a head-up display instead of an instrument cluster. Other features include a wireless phone charger, a large glass roof, dual-zone climate control, front ventilated seats, reclining rear seats, an 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, and more. For the safety equipment, the VF7 offers seven airbags as standard, a Level-2 ADAS safety suite, and more.
VinFast VF7: Battery and Range
Apart from the base Earth variant, which is powered by a 59.6 kWh battery pack, all variants are powered by a 70.8 kWh battery pack. The smaller 59.6 kWh battery is paired to a front-axle-mounted motor only, while the larger 70.8 kWh battery gets both front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive options. In the base Earth variant, the battery and motor setup produce 177 PS power and 250 Nm peak torque, while in higher variants, the front-wheel-drive drivetrain produces 204 PS power and 310 Nm peak torque, and the all-wheel-drive drivetrain produces 353.5 PS power and 500 Nm peak torque.
