Kia is one of the leading carmakers in India. In its six years of career in the Indian market, the Korean carmaker has gradually expanded its line-up, making sure that each of its products gets enough time to popularise. As is the case with most carmakers around the world, Kia is shifting the majority of its focus to electric cars. In the not-so-distant future, Kia plans to launch a range of capable electric cars and a few ICE cars to expand its territory and maximise its market share. In this article, we list the most anticipated upcoming Kia cars with their estimated prices, features, and launch timelines.

Kia is expected to launch the new generation of their most popular car in India, the Kia Seltos, by early 2026. The new Kia Seltos will don Kia’s latest ‘Opposites United’ design language as seen on the Kia EV9, Kia Carens Clavis, and Kia Syros. For the engine and transmission options, the new-gen Kia Seltos is expected to continue with the currently offered 1.5-litre NA petrol engine, 1.5-litre turbo diesel engine, and 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine. However, Kia is expected to add a hybrid powertrain to the Seltos’s powertrain offerings slightly after the launch of its new generation model. In the hybrid powertrain, the 1.5-litre NA petrol engine will be electrified. The new generation of the Kia Seltos is expected to be priced at Rs 12 to 21 lakh (ex-showroom).

The electric avatar of the Kia Carens has been much anticipated for a long time. Now, as Kia has already launched the Kia Carens Clavis, the Korean electric MUV is expected to be based on the Clavis, which is the most premium version of the Carens. In the coming months, the Carens Clavis EV is expected to be launched. It will share most of its exterior, interior, and features with the Carens Clavis. Moreover, it will share its platform and powertrains with the Hyundai Creta Electric, bringing the same 42 kWh and 51.4 kWh battery pack options. While on the Creta Electric, these battery packs are claimed to deliver a driving range of 390 km and 473 km, respectively, expect the heavier Carens Clavis EV to deliver slightly lower figures. The Kia Carens Clavis EV is expected to be priced north of Rs 16 lakh.

The Kia Syros was recently launched and has already found substantial success. Based on the standard Syros, the Syros EV is expected to launch in the first quarter of 2026. The Kia Syros EV will be the same in shape and size as the standard Syros and offer the same set of features that include a panoramic sunroof, 360-degree camera, Level-2 ADAS safety suite, and more. Underpinning the Kia Syros EV will be the K1 platform, which also underpins the Hyundai Inster EV that is sold in international markets. Like the Hyundai Inster EV, the Kia Syros EV will get 42 kWh and 49 kWh Nickel Manganese Cobalt battery options, with WLTP-rated claimed ranges of 300 km and 355 km, respectively. The Kia Syros EV is expected to be priced between Rs 15 lakh to Rs 20 lakh.
