The Toyota Innova Crysta and Maruti XL6 are both popular MPVs in the Indian market, however, they are different when it comes to size and engine options. The Innova Crysta claims a mileage of 15.10 km/l, while the smaller 6-seater XL6 claims up to 20.97 km/l with petrol and 26.32 km/kg with CNG. The Innova Crysta has been around in India since 2016, while the XL6 was launched in 2019. But which one returns more mileage on Indian roads?

The Innova Crysta currently comes with a 2.4-litre diesel engine paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox. The XL6, on the other hand, gets a smaller 1.5-litre petrol engine with either a 5-speed manual or 6-speed automatic gearbox. There is also a CNG version with a 5-speed manual.

Apart from using different fuels, the two cars also differ quite a bit in engine size and weight. All of this can have an effect on how much fuel they use. So, let’s look at the Toyota Innova Crysta vs Maruti XL6 mileage figures, both claimed and in the real world.
