Finally! MG has launched the MG Cyberster at an introductory price of Rs 74.99 lakh (ex-showroom). But it is priced at Rs 72.49 lakh (ex-showroom) for those who reserved their bookings before the launch. The MG Cyberster roadster was one of the most spectacular attractions at the Auto Expo 2025, and is now MG’s flagship model in India. Moreover, it is also the only all-electric roadster currently on sale in the Indian market. After the MG M9, it is MG’s second model to be sold through the brand’s premium MG Select line of premium showrooms. Here is a closer look at the MG Cyberster roadster.
MG Cyberster: Design and Dimensions
The Cyberster is a low-slung roadster with a classic long bonnet, short rear overhang, and a slippery drag coefficient of 0.269Cd. It is 4,535 mm long, 1,913 mm wide, 1,329 mm tall, and has a wheelbase of 2,619 mm. Like a typical sports car, the Cyberster is sure to catch a lot of attention. At the front, it features a smile-shaped face with petal-shaped swoopy LED projector headlights, LED DRLs, and a chrome MG logo. Lower down, the bumper gets a blacked-out air intake section with a honeycomb pattern, and functional air vents to cool the battery and other electrical parts. Its side profile highlights 20-inch alloy wheels, a folding soft-top, and the captivating scissor doors. The Cyberster is the most affordable car in India to offer such doors. At the back, the Cyberster features arrow-shaped LED tail lights with a full-width LED strip above them.
The MG Cyberster is available in 4 dual-tone colour options: Flare Red with black roof, Nuclear Yellow with black roof, Modern Beige with red roof, and Andes Grey with red roof.
MG Cyberster: Interior and Features
On the inside, the Cyberster packs a futuristic interior with two sports seats and a dashboard that looks inspired by a fighter jet cockpit. Its cabin features four screens, which include a triple screen setup – a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display flanked by two 7-inch screens (one for infotainment and the other for energy centre, weather updates, user settings, and system controls). There is also a separate screen on the centre console for controlling the AC. Its flat-bottom steering wheel features buttons for audio and the driver displays, and there is also a round dial for launch control and paddle shifters for regenerative braking.
In terms of features, the MG Cyberster offers an electrically openable and foldable roof, 6-way electrically adjustable heated seats with memory function, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, vegan leather upholstery, dual-zone climate control, 360-degree parking camera, air filter, and an 8-speaker Bose audio system. For the safety equipment, the Cyberster offers four airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and a Level 2 ADAS safety suite, which includes features like adaptive cruise control and collision mitigation assist.
MG Cyberster: Battery and Range
The MG Cyberster is equipped with a 77 kWh battery pack, which powers two electric motors – one for each axle, producing 510 PS and 725 Nm through all four wheels. The MG Cyberster offers a claimed driving range of 580 km, and with an ability to sprint from 0 to 100 km/hr, it is one of the fastest cars in India. Its top speed is electronically limited at 200 km/h.
MG Cyberster: Price and Rivals
For bookings made before launch, the MG Cyberster is priced at Rs 72.49 lakh, and for bookings made after launch, it is priced at Rs 74.99 lakh. While the MG Cyberster does not have a direct rival, it can be considered an electric-powered alternative to the BMW Z4, priced at Rs 92.90 lakh, and the Mercedes-Benz CLE Cabriolet, priced at Rs 1.15 Cr.
