The camouflaged test mule of the upcoming Mahindra Bolero Neo has been spotted on roads, in line with the expected debut on 15th August. The images indicate the Bolero Neo has been majorly redesigned, and the new Bolero Neo will look completely different from the current model. Here is what we know so far about the new Mahindra Bolero Neo.
2025 Mahindra Bolero Neo Facelift: Design
While it is not going to be an all-new generation of the Mahindra Bolero Neo, the new Mahindra Bolero will look nothing like the current model. Like the current model, the new Bolero Neo will be underpinned by a ladder frame chassis. The test mule gives away the distinctive Mahindra grille; however, the camouflaged circular headlamps are expected to be replaced with different units on the production model.
On the side, the new Mahindra Bolero Neo will feature completely new doors with flush handles and prominent bulges on the lower part. The test mule suggests the presence of some body cladding, while the front and rear wheel arches look more flared, and it can be seen riding on larger twin 5-spoke alloy wheels. At the rear, like the current model, the new Bolero Neo will sport a side-hinged door and a tail-gate mounted spare wheel, which appears to have moved slightly up to make the SUV look less utilitarian. When viewed from the rear quarter, the updated Bolero Neo has a Land Rover Defender-like profile.
2025 Mahindra Bolero Neo Facelift: Interior & Features
On the inside, the new Mahindra Bolero Neo is expected to get a new dashboard, a larger touchscreen, and several other interior updates. This upgrade should bring the Bolero Neo in-line with the Scorpio N and Thar models. Moreover, the feature list is expected to get many additions, and Mahindra could offer the Bolero Neo facelift with six airbags as standard.
2025 Mahindra Bolero Neo Facelift: Engine & Transmission
The new Mahindra Bolero Neo is expected to come with the same 1.5-litre, three-cylinder diesel engine that produces 100 PS power and 260 Nm torque. The transmission option is also expected to be the same 5-speed manual transmission. Moreover, like the current model, the new Mahindra Bolero Neo is expected to come with a rear-wheel-drive setup with a mechanically locking differential.
2025 Mahindra Bolero Neo Facelift: Launch & Rivals
The 2025 Mahindra Bolero Neo facelift will debut on 15th August and will go on sale shortly after that. While the Bolero Neo is unique as a ladder-on-frame SUV, its main competitors are other compact SUVs like the Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, and Skoda Kylaq.
