Since being announced, the new 2020 Mahindra Thar has garnered immense interest and popularity. Mahindra stated that it had received more than 20,000 bookings within a month, which shows just how popular the off-roader is. Despite its popularity, it seems that the base variant has not received as much love from prospective buyers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In light of the low bookings for the base Mahindra Thar AX variants, Mahindra has temporarily halted booking requests for the model. Instead, the Mahindra Thar now starts from the AX Optional variant, which starts from \u20b911.90 lakhs (ex-showroom). The new Mahindra Thar is also facing a 2 month waiting period and Mahindra has stated that is ramping up production to meet demand. <\/p>\n\n\n
