The popular Japanese carmaker has revealed its new SUV, the Honda ZR-V, which will be its new flagship model. The ZR-V will be imported as completely built units (CBUs). While Honda has not announced the launch date of the ZR-V, the brand has opened pre-bookings, and the launch is expected next month. Here is a closer look at the Honda ZR-V.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Honda ZR-V: Design and Dimensions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Honda ZR-V is 4,567 mm long, 1,840 mm wide, 1,621 mm tall, and has a wheelbase of 2,657 mm. With these dimensions, the ZR-V is nearly as large as the MG Hector and Tata Harrier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a premium 5-seater SUV, the Honda ZR-V dons a sophisticated, clean design. Its face features slim LED headlamps underlined by L-shaped DRLs, a blacked-out hexagonal grille with vertical slats, a latticed air dam, and functional air ducts on either side of the bumper. The side profile highlights a crossover stance with a sloping roofline and 18-inch alloy wheels. At the rear, unlike most modern cars that get connected tail lamps, the ZR-V sports sleek wraparound LED tail lamps with curved LED elements. Meanwhile, the dual-tone bumper has a silver trim that connects exhaust outlets on both sides.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Honda ZR-V will be available in four colour options: Crystal Black Pearl, Platinum White Pearl, Meteoroid Grey Metallic and Twilight Mist Black Pearl. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the inside, the Honda ZR-V packs a clean and well-laid out interior with an all-black interior theme, while the brushed silver accents around the centre console, door handles, and the dashboard add some brightwork. Its layered dashboard has a free-standing touchscreen infotainment and a meshed trim running at the bottom, covering the AC vents. The 3-spoke steering wheel is like the one seen on the Honda City and Honda Elevate. The seats are upholstered in leatherette material, and both rows have centre armrests. Moreover, Honda deserves appreciation for giving the SUV plenty of physical buttons and knobs for controls such as the AC, volume, media, and even the drive mode.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In terms of features, the Honda ZR-V offers a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10-inch digital instrument cluster, a wireless phone charging pad, ambient lighting, dual-zone climate control, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 12-speaker Bose sound system, 8-way powered driver and 4-way powered front passenger seats, a powered tailgate, an air purifier, a panoramic sunroof, and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For safety equipment, the ZR-V packs 8 airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), front and rear parking sensors, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), a 360-degree camera, an electronic parking brake, and a Level-2 ADAS safety suite.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The International-spec Honda ZR-V has scored a 4-star rating in the Euro NCAP safety test in 2023.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Honda ZR-V: Engine and Transmission<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Honda ZR-V is powered by a 2-litre naturally aspirated engine connected with a dual-motor strong hybrid setup. This strong hybrid unit produces 184 PS power and 315 Nm peak torque, and with an e-CVT automatic transmission, it sends power to the front wheels. The ZR-V can sprint from 0 to 100 km\/hr in 8 seconds, and has an electronically limited top speed of 172 km\/hr. Moreover, it has a claimed fuel efficiency of 22.79 km\/l.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Honda ZR-V: Price and Rivals<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
