The new V-Class is the facelifted version of its predecessor, which was on sale in India from 2019 to 2022. The new German luxury MPV comes with multiple interior and exterior updates, and a new petrol engine. While the new V-Class is a 6-seater, it can be configured for various seating layouts by adjusting the second and third rows. Given that the new V-Class comes with the AMG Line design as standard, its illuminated trapezoidal grille is studded with three-pointed stars. The headlamp cluster consists of dual-pod multi-beam LED headlamps and sleek LED DRLs that sit above them. The side profile highlights the slab-sided design with major emphasis on height and space, a chrome strip underlining the window glass, dual-tone 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, tall roof rails, and electrically operated doors that can be slid open and closed by pulling the door handle. At the rear, the V-Class gets a powered upright tail gate, vertical LED tail lamps, a chrome strip underlining the rear windshield, and a slim bumper. It is offered in two interior theme options: an all-black colour theme and a dual-tone black and beige theme with beige upholstery. In the front section, the V-Class gets a clean dashboard with wood finish and a thick brushed silver strip that underlines the dual-screen setup of two 12.3-inch displays \u2013 one for the infotainment and the other for the digital instrument cluster. The three-spoke leather-wrapped circular steering features some buttons and multifunction touch controls, while many other physical controls are placed on the centre console. One is the traditional layout, wherein all seats are front-facing. Second is the conference layout, wherein the second row and third row face each other. Moreover, there is a third option, wherein the rear section has only two captain seats. This layout is best-suited for the chauffeur-driven buyers who prefer maximum cabin space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In terms of features, the V-Class offers an MBUX infotainment system with a dual 12.3-inch setup, in-built navigation, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, \u201cHey Mercedes\u201d voice assistant, wireless phone charger, connected car tech, and a 650W 15-speaker Burmester sound system with Dolby Atmos. It also offers automatic climate control, powered front and rear seats with heating, cooling, and massage functions, 64-colour ambient lighting, rear sunshades, and more. A notable feature is an Airmatic air suspension with adaptive damping as standard, configured for Indian roads. All the same, the V-Class does not offer a sunroof, and windows cannot be opened.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For safety equipment, the V-Class offers 7 airbags, electronic stability control, and Attention Assist, which is a driver monitoring system with a camera. Other safety features include adaptive cruise control, hill-start assist, 360-degree camera, tyre pressure monitoring system, adaptive brake lights, electronic parking brake with auto-hold, and more. In the Euro NCAP safety test, the V-Class has scored a full 5-star rating.<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"new-2026-mercedes-benz-v-class-engine-and-transmission\">New 2026 Mercedes-Benz V-Class: Engine and Transmission<\/h2>\n\n\n<p>The new V-Class is available in two variants: V300 d diesel and V300 petrol. The diesel variant is powered by a 2-litre four-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine, which produces 237 PS power and 500 Nm peak torque. Whereas the petrol variant is powered by a 2-litre turbo petrol engine with a mild-hybrid system. This petrol engine alone produces 231 PS and 370 Nm peak torque, while the mild-hybrid assist adds 20 PS power and 200 Nm torque.
