With this, the Invicto has become the third Maruti car to have received a 5-star Bharat NCAP safety rating after the Maruti Dzire and Maruti Victoris. Here is how the Invicto performed in the Bharat NCAP safety test.

Maruti Suzuki Invicto: Adult Occupant Protection

30.43 out of 32 in AOP

In the frontal offset deformable barrier test, the Invicto offered good protection to most body parts of both driver and front passenger, but chest protection and driver’s left tibia protection were reported to be adequate, as the MUV scored 14.43 out of 16 points. In the side movable deformable barrier test, the Invicto scored full marks (16/16) and offered good protection to the driver’s head, chest, abdomen, and pelvis. In the side pole impact test, Maruti’s premium MUV was given an OK rating as the protection offered to the head, chest, abdomen, and pelvis was reported as good.

Maruti Suzuki Invicto: Child Occupant Protection

45 out of 49 in COP

In the child occupant protection (COP) test, the Maruti Invicto bagged the same score as its sibling, the Toyota Innova Hycross. The Indo-Japanese MUV earned a full 24 out of 24 points in the dynamic test, 12 out of 12 points in CRS (child restraint system), and 9 out of 13 in the vehicle assessment test. The dummies of 18-month-old and 3-year-old babies were tested in rearward-facing child seats, protected by ISOFIX anchorages and a support leg. The Maruti Invicto packs ISOFIX anchorages on the rear seats but misses an integrated child restraint system.

Maruti Suzuki Invicto: Platform, Safety Features, and Price

Sharing its platform with the Toyota Innova Hycross, the Maruti Invicto is based on Toyota’s modular TNGA-C platform. As far as safety features are concerned, the Invicto comes standard with six airbags, ABS with EBD, rear disc brakes, a tyre pressure monitor, an electronic parking brake with auto hold, three-point seatbelts for all passengers, and a 360-degree camera. Unlike the Innova Hycross, the Invicto does not offer a Level 2 ADAS safety suite in its higher variants. Available in Zeta+ 7-seater, Zeta+ 8-seater, and Alpha+ 7-seater variants, the Maruti Invicto is priced at Rs 24.97 – 28.61 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Maruti Invicto scored a full 5-star rating in the Bharat NCAP safety test.
