Tata Motors has finally launched the much-awaited Harrier facelift in India at a starting price of Rs. 15.49 Lakh (introductory, ex-showroom) for the Smart (O) MT trim. Tata Harrier Facelift: Design changes<\/h2>\n\n\n

One look at the Tata Harrier facelift and you will notice that the design has been one of the biggest changes this time. With a new sporty grille, a full-width LED bar, a split-headlight design and a new front bumper, the facelifted Tata Harrier now offers a much more modern look. The modernity is carried over to the rear as well, where the SUV brings to the table a redesigned tail-lamp housing, revised bumper and new LED lighting elements. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The overall profile of the SUV however, hasn\u2019t changed much except for the redesigned 18 and 19-inch alloys, with the bigger ones being reserved only for the Dark Edition this time. Overall, the entire look of the facelifted Tata Harrier somewhere resembles the Harrier EV concept that was showcased at the Auto Expo earlier this year.<\/p>\n\n\n

This time around, Tata has made major upgrades to the interiors as well, ditching the faux wood treatment and adopting a mix of materials including gloss-black surfaces, textured top panels, and leatherette padding all of which is complemented by a strip of LED ambient lighting. Depending upon the trim chosen, the SUV now offers two touch-infotainment systems that include either a 10.25-inch unit or a bigger 12.3-inch unit. There\u2019s also the inclusion of touch panels for AC controls as seen on the new Nexon and Nexon EV.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Other additions include a new flat-bottom steering with a backlit Tata logo, dual-zone climate control, 360-degree camera, rear-window shades, panoramic sunroof, rotary knob with digital display for drive selection, JBL tuned 10-speaker setup and much more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Safety features have also been improved to include up to 7 airbags (6 as standard), hill hold control, ABS with EBD and ESC etc. along with Level-2 ADAS compatibility. It is crucial to note that the new Harrier and Safari facelifts have already scored a perfect 5-star rating on the global NCAP crash tests.<\/p>\n\n\n

Tata Harrier Facelift: Variants, Powertrain and Colors<\/h2>\n\n\n

On the inside, the new Harrier remains mechanically unchanged and continues to offer the tried and tested 2-litre Diesel Engine mated to a 6-speed manual or an optional AMT. The automatic trims, however, are only available only from the Adventure+ trims and upwards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The SUV also gets three drive modes (Eco, City and Sports) along with three terrain response modes including Normal, Rough and Wet modes. Much like the Nexon facelift, the Harrier has also adopted the new persona-based nomenclature and is being offered in four major trims \u2013 Smart, Pure, Adventure and Fearless, with additional packages being added with a \u201c+\u201d or \u201cA\u201d suffix.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The facelift Tata Harrier is being offered in six colours including Ash Grey, Pebble Grey, Seaweed Green, Lunar White, Coral Red and Sunlit Yellow. In addition, there is also an Oberon Black colour that is limited only to the Dark Edition.<\/p>\n\n\n

Tata Harrier Facelift: Rivals<\/h2>\n\n\n

With a new facelift in town, the Tata Harrier continues to lock horns with long-term rivals such as the 5-seater XUV 700, diesel trims of the Kia Seltos and Hyundai Creta along with the Jeep Compass and the MG Hector.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
