India’s most popular carmaker has made a statement with the new concept as it basically previews an upcoming all-electric SUV that will rival the Tata Nexon EV and the Mahindra XUV400. The Maruti Suzuki eVX is also a crucial product as it happens to be the first all-electric model from Maruti Suzuki.

Table of Contents

Maruti Suzuki eVX Design

Maruti Suzuki eVX Technical Details

Maruti Suzuki eVX Launch and Expected Price

Maruti Suzuki eVX Design

Measuring 4300mm in length, 1800mm in width, and 1600mm in height, the eVX is right up there with its arch-rival, the Nexon EV. The eVX’ design language is a sneak peek into the carmaker’s future. Like every other EV, it features a futuristic front end with a blanked-off grille and a black strip that connects both the front headlamps. The front bumper gives off a muscular vibe with its bulky design and the prominent skid plate.

Maruti Suzuki eVX

The overall stance is more rugged than soft with squared-off wheel arches, large wheels and cladding all around. Another interesting design bit is the sloping roofline along with a blacked-off roof. At the rear, there’s a connected tail lamp followed by a rugged design for the rear bumper. In brief, the whole design is a shift from Maruti Suzuki’s current design theme and it is safe to expect the same design treatment for future models and EVs from the Indian carmaker.

Maruti Suzuki eVX Technical Details

Since the eVX is a concept in the truest form, major technical details are still under wraps. What we know is that it will feature an EV-specific chassis, a 60 kWh battery pack, a twin-motor setup, AWD and a claimed range of 550km.

Maruti Suzuki might also offer an entry-level version with a smaller 48kWh and about 400 km of driving range. These are impressive numbers, to say the least, and if Maruti Suzuki can follow up these numbers in the production-ready version, the eVX will clearly be a step ahead of its competition.

Maruti Suzuki eVX Launch and Expected Price

Maruti Suzuki eVX

While Mahindra and Tata have already jumped on the EV bandwagon, Maruti Suzuki had a void in that space. The eVX promises to fill in that gap and the production-ready version will be a smart-looking all-electric SUV that has presence and numbers on its side. We can expect a global debut by 2025 with prices in the ballpark of around Rs 20- Rs 25 lakh.

Maruti Suzuki has debuted its all-electric concept SUV, the eVX.
