The ever-popular midsize SUV Hyundai Creta has received a stellar facelift making its global debut in Indonesia at GIIAS 2021 motor show. While the Creta had received a major redesign last year, the current facelift now incorporates a Hyundai Tucson-inspired look. This new facelifted Hyundai Creta will be introduced in Indonesia first, with other markets like India expected to receive the design update within the next few years. The refreshed design could help Hyundai stay even more competitive in the midsize SUV segment against emerging rivals like the MG Astor.<\/span><\/p>\n

New Hyundai Creta: Exterior<\/h1>\n

As mentioned already, the new Creta has its looks inspired by the new Hyundai Tucson, especially the front facia. <\/span>The front profile gets a parametric grill that spreads across the width linking the LED Daytime Running Lamps. The DRLs simulate the design pattern of the grill and look like a part of it when turned off. The dual-beam headlamps look somewhat trapezoidal and are placed a bit lower from DRLs. On the rear, tail lamps look much sharper and the reworked boot lid renders glimpses of the Russian-spec Hyundai Creta.\"Hyundai<\/span><\/p>\n

New Hyundai Creta: Interior<\/h1>\n

Not much has changed on the inside, and the dashboard design of the on-going model has been retained. However, Hyundai has elongated the feature list, some main features include<\/span><\/p>\n

    New Hyundai Creta: Safety<\/h1>\n

    On safety grounds, Hyundai has taken a huge leap forward with the new Hyundai Creta. The new Hyundai Creta has the <\/span>Advanced Driver Assist Systems (ADAS) that offers the safety perks: Lane keep assist, blind-spot monitor, adaptive cruise control, rear cross-traffic collision avoidance assist, and autonomous emergency braking with forward-collision avoidance. Other cars in India that feature ADAS are Mahindra XUV700 and MG Astor. If launched with ADAS, the Hyundai Creta will be the first Hyundai car to feature this technology.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    The updated BlueLink connected car tech in the New Hyundai Creta facilitates stolen vehicle tracking, stolen vehicle immobilisation, and a valet parking mode.<\/span><\/p>\n

    New Hyundai Creta: Powertrains<\/h1>\n

    The Indonesian-spec Hyundai Creta has a sole 1.5L petrol engine that produces 114 bhp of power and 144 Nm of peak torque. This engine is mated with a 6-Speed manual or CVT transmission. The Indian-spec Hyundai Creta is expected to get the same powertrain options that the current-gen Hyundai Creta has, which include a 1.5L petrol engine, 1.5L diesel engine, and 1.4L turbocharged petrol engine.<\/span><\/p>\n

    New Hyundai Creta: Launch in India<\/h1>\n

    Last year, the second-generation Hyundai Creta was launched in India. The updated Hyundai Creta is anticipated to be rolled out in the second half of 2022.
