The Volkswagen Tiguan facelift is set to hit the Indian market on 7th December and Volkswagen is all set to hit the ground running with local assembly commencing at its Aurangabad plant. The Tiguan had been the global best-seller and flagship of Volkswagen and its re-entry after a gap of over a year is expected to turn the tables. This facelifted 5-Seater Tiguan will sit above the 5-Seater Volkswagen Taigun and below the 7-Seater Volkswagen Tiguan AllSpace in the Volkswagen SUV lineup. Let’s see what the Volkswagen Tiguan has to offer in its new avatar.

The new Volkswagen Tiguan retains the boxy design and squared-off silhouette that is quickly becoming a trademark shape for the brand. The new midsize SUV now features LED headlamps and DRLs that taper towards their swept-back end and look sharper this time. Moreover, the front facia features a revised grille with a triangular fog lamp cluster and slated air intakes, helping it differentiate from its predecessor.

The side profile also looks quite similar to that of the old Volkswagen Tiguan, but features re-designed 18-inch alloy wheels. The rear gets a refreshed bumper, Tiguan badging on the tailgate, and new LED elements in the tail lamps.

The new Tiguan will also feature a digital MID cluster, similar in style to the one on the Taigun.

Volkswagen Tiguan Facelift: Price and Rivals

The facelifted Volkswagen Tiguan will launch in India on 7th December 2021 with an expected ex-showroom price of 26-29 Lakhs.
