In light of the low bookings for the base Mahindra Thar AX variants, Mahindra has temporarily halted booking requests for the model. Instead, the Mahindra Thar now starts from the AX Optional variant, which starts from ₹11.90 lakhs (ex-showroom). The new Mahindra Thar is also facing a 2 month waiting period and Mahindra has stated that is ramping up production to meet demand.
