Kia India today announced that it had become India’s fastest carmaker to cross 5-lakh car dispatches since its entry in August 2019.
Tae-Jin Park, Kia India Managing Director and CEO said, “Half-a-million is a big number and we are proud to have attained this milestone in less than 2.5 years. Ever since our inception in India, we have focused on providing great value to our customers through our ground-breaking products and services.”
Kia achieved the 4-lakh sales milestone in only 29 months which is a commendable achievement and recently also crossed the 1-lakh export milestone. In January 2022 Kia sold 19,319 units domestically with Kia Seltos being the bestseller for January. Kia also reported a 1.4 percent year-on-year growth compared to January 2021.
Currently, Kia India’s lineup includes the Kia Seltos midsize SUV, Kia Sonet compact SUV, and the Kia Carnival premium MUV. Kia has also recently launched the Kia Carens 7-seater MUV, adding more fuel to Kia’s popularity in India.
