The Ford EcoSport has always displayed it’s compact SUV design with pride and it is surprising that Ford has managed to keep this car relevant with minimal exterior design updates.

Spinny Assured Ford EcoSport front

The front still carries the large trapezoidal grill, which dominates every first impression of the EcoSport. The front profile also comes with a set of twin-barrel projector HID headlamps with integrated LED daytime running lights, along with a set of large fog lamps that have indicators integrated into them. The bumper continues to feature the black and silver faux skid plate while being more sculpted and sharper than older models.

Spinny Assured Ford EcoSport side

The 16-inch alloy wheels elevate the sporty styling of the EcoSport while the side silhouette remains unchanged. The larger wheels appropriately fill in the wheel arches, making the Ford Ecosport look solid, aggressive and dominating while features like door mounted ORVMs with puddle lamp feature add to the convenience. On the rear as well, nothing much has changed. The silver insert on the tail lamp still doubles up as the tailgate opener and the centrepiece that is the tailgate mounted spare tyre.

Spinny Assured Ford EcoSport rear

The newly launched Ford EcoSport SE variant removes the spare wheel and replaces it with a regular chrome strip in the middle with some silver inserts on the lower part of the bumper. Instead of the spare tyre, the EcoSport SE gets a tyre pressure monitoring system and a puncture repair kit. An interesting change that may suit some people.

Step inside the EcoSport and the first thing you will notice is the all black interior theme that looks classy and upmarket, despite the fact that it makes the cabin look a little less airy. The seats are leather with a white stitching that makes it look premium. The top of the line S variant goes a step ahead and offers an orange and black interior with a similar pattern on the leather seats that gives the entire cabin a sporty feel. Nonetheless, the front seats are wide and offer excellent thigh and lumbar support along with a variety of adjustment options.

The petrol variants are mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox or an optional 6-speed torque converted gearbox that excellently supports the engine.
