Maruti Suzuki has always nailed its CNG hatchback models and this one is no different. The Alto K10 gets a chunky design, eye-catching colour options and all basic utilitarian features. The Alto K10 is powered by a 1.0-litre petrol-CNG engine which produces 56 PS of peak power and 82.1 Nm of peak torque and is mated to a 5-speed manual. The main highlight for the Alto K10 is its high mileage of 34 km/kg, which is only second to the Celerio. The Alto K10 is a great hatchback for city commutes that will reward you with one of the lowest fuel bills possible. The Alto K10 gets a CNG option on the top-of-the-line VXi variant and it costs Rs. 5.95 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Hyundai Grand i10 Nios houses a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated engine which produces 68 PS of peak power and 95 Nm of peak torque in CNG mode The Grand i10 Nios CNG range starts from Rs. 7.56 lakh and tops out at Rs. 8.11 lakh (all prices,ex-showroom) and the fuel economy is 28 km/kg.

Hyundai Aura

2023 Hyundai Aura facelift

The Aura has been a steady seller for Hyundai and with the option of CNG, it now caters to a larger target audience. The Aura has the same 1.2-litre engine which does duty on the i10 NIOS, in the same tuning of 68 PS/95 Nm in CNG mode. Mated with a 5-speed manual gearbox, the claimed fuel economy is also more or less the same as the i10 NIOS, and delivers an identical 28 km/kg mileage. Maruti Suzuki WagonR

Furthermore, Tata offers CNG with mid and top-end trims namely XM and XZ with the range starting from Rs. 7.60 lakh and going all the way up to Rs. 8.70 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom)

Toyota meanwhile offers a CNG option on the mid-trims – the G and the S and hence Glanza CNG range starts from Rs. 8.45 lakh and goes up to Rs. 9.48 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom)

A point also to be noted is that a few noteworthy mentions in this list are Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire, Maruti Suzuki Alto 800, Tata Tiago NRG and Maruti Suzuki S-Presso.
